Miksang Monday
miksang:- Tibetan for ‘good eye’, based on the teachings of Chogyam Trungpa, and an approach to photography that relies on fresh perception which is unhampered by pre-conceived ideas
Every Monday I’ll post an image in the spirit of miksang. I say ‘in the spirit of’ as I haven’t trained with any of the Miksang organisations and I’m interpreting the term quite loosely. But here it is – a hopefully fresh perception of something quite ordinary, every week.

Love this Gilly. I have the impression that the trees have parted to open a window up into the universe above us… and the clouds are moving very gently left to right, so relaxing 🙂

Thanks, Ellie – this was one of those shots I dismissed when I uploaded it, but then found myself reconsidering later. Far into the woods where I used to walk, there was a bench in a clearing. I used to lie on my back on the bench and look up through the trees to the sky, and this reminds me of that.
