E-book

It’s happened to all of us – you just want to get out there and photograph, but your mind’s a blank and you feel uninspired. You feel as if you’re stuck in a rut, you have no new ideas, and you just can’t get excited about anything. You feel creatively blocked.
Or it could be that you’re not stuck exactly, but you know that focussing on a theme or a project is a great way to take your photography to a higher level and you’d like some ideas and inspiration.
Or maybe you run a Flickr group or are a blog owner who needs some help with ideas for theme challenges to run on your site.
Introducing Photography Outside the Box
If this is you, I’ve got something that will solve the problem. I’ve put together a fantastic new ebook that covers everything you need to know to come up with endless fun, interesting and challenging photography projects and ideas, and it’s lavishly illustrated with more than 150 photos. There are enough ideas here to guarantee you’ll never run out of inspiration again – and some great photos, too.
Here are some of the things you’ll discover in the 78 pages of Photography Outside the Box:
- 50 ways to break out of a creative rut
- Some fun ideas to get you outside on a rainy day….
- ….and how to keep your camera dry if you do
- 21 places and what you can photograph there
- How to make a photo project out of shapes and symbols
- Exciting new ideas for photographing people and pets
- The 3 main types of photo project and how to choose the right one for you
- Using ordinary household objects to create great pictures
- Why throwing your camera in the air might be a good idea
- How shooting through things can give your photography a whole new look
- Lots and lots of inspirational photographs to show you how it’s done, taken by a wide variety of people so you’re not stuck with one person’s style
One Very Important Thing…..
This is not a ‘how-to’ book – it won’t tell you how to operate your camera or carry out the project, but I’ve given you lots of links to online articles and websites that will. If you’re looking for an instruction manual, don’t buy it…..but if you’re looking for loads of inspirational ideas it’s likely to be just what you want.

How this book came about
I’ve spent a lot of time trawling the internet trying to get new photography ideas for myself. I came across some great stuff, and began to bookmark it, but I really wished that someone would collect these ideas together and put them all in one place – so I did! This is a collection of the best ideas I could find, all brought together in one convenient volume.
How much does it cost? The book costs £15

“This is absolutely brilliant!! I am stunned into silence! How on earth did you do that? It’s not only brilliant in terms of layout and subject matter, and ideas and style, it has some incredible ideas and information. This is single-handedly the most helpful piece of information I have ever seen on how to get inspired and creative in photography. I mean I go out of my way with ideas and thinking out of the box, and being different. But this just puts a completely different spin on everything.”

“Photography Outside the Box is a ‘must read’ for beginners and experienced photographers alike, it is full of inspirational ideas to take your photography to another level. Many experienced photographers who read this well presented book will quickly realise they have got themselves into a photographic rut. Photography Outside the Box will help to guide you out of your rut so you can become more imaginative and creative again.
“I have been taking photographs for over 50 years and realise my ‘rut’ is more like a trench, but after reading Photography Outside the Box I find all my old enthusiasm has returned – well done Gilly.”

“Gilly is a fellow OCA [Open College of the Arts] student, and as you can see from her work, she is totally passionate about photography. She has seen that the ability to ‘see’ new subjects and topics is not always right under our noses, and has produced an imaginative and thoughtful e-book to ‘spark the imagination’. The book has helped me to move on in my studies, and given me some great ideas for future outings with the camera. Gilly’s e-book, ‘Photography Outside the Box’ is a valuable learning aid and is highly recommended.”
